Starting a Home Based Business
I was sitting at the office of the wire mag for which I was working 1 or 2 years gone when a friend clicked his mouse and stated that he just made $15. I believed maybe he was doing some variety of online betting or had just filled out a restaurant survey and had received a $15 dollar present certificate, but what he had really done was sell a $5 coffee cup for $20. He explained to me what he had done and said to me that he would shortly be starting a home based business of his very own.
Fundamentally , he went to an area dollar store and acquired 20 mugs that bore the emblem of our local hockey team, which had just lately won the Stanley Cup. Realizing that there would be lots of bandwagon jumpers and that our team wasn’t a major-market programme, he put the mugs on Ebay for $20 a piece just to find out how they’d do, as he revealed. By the time he told me that he had just made $15 that afternoon at work, he had sold nineteen of them, making a total profit of $275 with one mug to go.
The very next step, he announced, was starting a home based business, and he had a bunch of ideas for other items to sell that he believed would be just as successful as the mugs. Now, nothing appealed to me more than the concept of sitting at my home PC and working from there all day. Beginning a home based business would be a great thing for me, but the issue was, my mind didn’t work the way that my friend’s did. Each time that I presumed of something that might sell well, I could never find it at a cost that would make allowances for a decent mark-up or it simply did not draw any interest from possible clients. I started to brainstorm other possible options.
Help Towards Starting a Home Based Business:
I tried taking his approach and hit the local buck stores for items that might appeal to a massive Web audience that would also be hard to find outside of my community, but nothing jumped out at me, and at last I gave up. All of a sudden , starting a home based business appeared more like wishful thinking than a probable way of financial liberty, but I am really not prepared to give up just yet.
It will probably take more planning on my part or some kind of spontaneous inspiration. I have always been more of the creative type, and in many ways, I just don’t think in marketing terms. Starting a home based business is still my ultimate dream; I will just have to find my own niche before that can happen.
